PIE3
PIE3 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed in 2011 to "encourage and promote education in science, technology, education, and, math in the Carroll County, Maryland area and to encourage such youth to pursue education and careers in science, technology, education, and, math".
We believe that participation in FIRST Robotics Teams to be one of the best ways to do this. Our goal is for every student in Carroll County to be able to participate on such a team. Participation is open to any student in pre-school through high school in the Carroll County area. Teams rely on adult volunteers in the community, partnership with schools running after-school teams with teacher coaches, and affliliated organizations such as homeschool cooperatives running teams as part of their practice.

Community ConnectionsOur teams love to share their love of learning in fun ways. Robots can be found at libraries, schools, parks, scout meetings. Recently, we had to go virtual, but have plans to reconnect in person soon. Find out options for your next community gathering!

PartnersEach robotics team builds partnerships, and teams recognize them on this webpage, on tshirts, banners, press releases and more.
Partners are more than donors. Some provide mentors and advice and others help us with event volunteering. Great partnerships may include internships that lead to employment. |
EventsWe have a decade of experience hosting a major robotics event annually, with partners in Carroll County Public Schools and Carroll Community College.
