PIE3 and its affiliated teams are very active with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) events in the community. They host the annual Roar of the Robots 2-Day FIRST Lego League Qualifier event, the largest in Chesapeake District (Maryland, DC, Virginia). The Robo-Lions Pumpkin Smash is a popular event where robots demonstrate their Pumpkin Smashing prowess as part of the Maryland STEM festival at libraries across Carroll County.
